Official Handbook and Guide for Members
Produced by the Elders of Phoenix Tear (Oct 2004)
I. Introduction:
To provide our membership with a set of guidelines and information deemed helpful to our members, the Elders of Phoenix Tear have created this document. In it are the general operating standards required of our members. Information contained here pertains to ALL operating factions of Phoenix Tear. Individual Phoenix Tear factions may add to their specific faction additional information and guidelines for membership in that faction as well as game specific requirements as deemed necessary by the Council of that faction.
Purpose:
To provide details about Guild History, Guild Charter and Guild Structure for the Phoenix Tear guild. Adherence to these guidelines is required of all Phoenix Tear members.
The Council of the faction in which you are a member of can impose additional guidelines and/or policies and procedures upon their members. However, all Phoenix Tear members will be responsible and accountable for knowledge of guidelines set forth in this document as well.
II. History: Who we are:
Phoenix Tear guild was started in Oct 2004 by Miser, Derina, Gnarf, Emiliafay, Kennethjames, Vixel, and Suuladar in Everquest I. We are a small family oriented guild whose main purpose is to ensure fun play for our members.
We have been exploring Worlds Of Warcraft with the expectation of creating a chapter of Phoenix Tear there.
Currently we have a domain web site at www.phoenixtear.org in which faction web sites, rosters, message boards, and other informative tools can be reached. We are also always looking for a new game in which we may be able to spread a Phoenix Tear faction into.
III. Guild Charter:
Our Charter:
Charter
Joined together in a common cause we now partake in adventure. Respecting and defending those who stand beside us now, we believe in friends and family first before any assets of life are considered. Larger than life we fiercely defend our ideals. We follow the path of Phoenix Tear. The path is chosen from within by the greater majority. As do all things in life, we change as time passes by. We never compromise our ideals while understanding that it is only important to fight for things that truly matter. Our beliefs and each other.
Our ideals are:
Respect; For oneself, our brothers, guild, and those who we may meet. Integrity; Never to lie nor cheat nor misrepresent. Loyalty; Stand tall in the face of opposition and temptation.
Amendments:
<INSERT AMMENDMENTS HERE> I. Due to the 500 member restriction of World of Warcraft a secondary guild will be created named "Phoenix Teardrops" to house low-use alt characters. A channel is to be created to help facilitate communication between the PTD and the parent guild of Phoenix Tear which is to house main characters. II. Ex-Phoenix Tear members who wish to re-apply to Phoenix Tear will undergo a week long vote in the Internal Affairs section where members can vote yes or no and give a statement backing up their vote. After one week the High Council will tally up the votes. Less than 60% yes is an automatic no. More than 80% is an automatic yes. 60-80% will be voted on by the High Council based on the responses of the memberships statements. III. 1) Ex-Phoenix Tear members that leave once and wish to return to Phoenix Tear: A file is posted on the Internal Affairs forum. Phoenix Tear members comment/vote on the reapplication to join Phoenix Tear. 2) Ex-Phoenix Tear members that leave twice and wish to return to Phoenix Tear: Must provide a detailed, written explanation for both the first and second departure.
